Welcome to Hope County, Montana. The fanatical cult known as The Project at Eden’s Gate have taken over the american state and left you, the new deputy, stranded without any outside help. Rise up against the cult and join the Resistance to take back Hope County in a beautiful open world.

Hope County is a large open world filled to the brim with wonders and danger. After the initial prologue, the entire game world, save for the final smaller area, will be open to you and what you choose to do is left entirely in your hands.

There are three main regions within Hope County: Holland Valley to the southwest, Henbane River to the southeast, and the Whitetail Mountains situated to the north. Each region is headed up by one of Joseph Seed’s heralds, and your task is to liberate each region before gaining access to the Cult Compound.

This guide will cover the story missions within each region before tackling the final region at the end of the guide. Story Missions are unlocked by increasing your Resistance Points (RP), gained by undertaking activities throughout that particular region as well as scattered around the regions. If you are finding a particular mission challenging, leave to another region and return later.

You will find all of the game’s optional extras in their own respective sections if you wish (and should) venture off the critical path. Finally, take your time and enjoy all there is to do in Hope County. It’s a vast world with plenty to see.
