How to Make a Smithing Station

Learn how to unlock and craft the Smithing Station in Grounded. Gather Brittle Quartzite Shards, Brittle Marble Shards, Sap, and Crude Rope to upgrade your gear.

Alright, so you want to get your hands on a Smithing Station in Grounded? Smart move! This bad boy is essential for upgrading your armor and tools, which you'll absolutely need if you want to survive the creepy crawlies out there. Let's get you set up.

Unlocking the Recipe:

First things first, you gotta unlock the recipe. Head over to BURG.L's Science Shop and spend 100 Raw Science. Seriously, do this as soon as you can. It's a game-changer for your gear.

Materials You'll Need:

• 1x Brittle Quartzite Shard
• 1x Brittle Marble Shard
• 2x Sap
• 4x Crude Rope

Finding the Materials:

Brittle Marble Shard: These little guys can be found in a couple of ways. You might snag your first one from the Hedge Lab's resource room. Otherwise, you'll need to smash rocks, especially those found in caves. Keep an eye out in chests within labs and surrounding areas too – they sometimes hide them!

Brittle Quartzite Shard: Similar to the marble shards, you can find these in lab resource rooms or by mining Quartzite rocks, which are usually in caves. Again, check chests in labs and nearby spots – they're often stashed away.

Sap: This sticky, yellow goo is pretty common. Look for it on branches, especially around Oak Hill. The Oak Lab is also a good spot to stock up. Once you get a hammer, you can harvest larger sap globs. Eventually, you can even build a Sap Catcher at your base for passive collection!

Crude Rope: You can craft these by hand, but you'll need Plant Fiber first. Each Crude Rope needs 3 Plant Fibers. You'll find Plant Fiber from those small, low-lying plants scattered all over the ground. Important: Before you can even craft Crude Rope, you need to analyze Plant Fiber at the Resource Analyzer to unlock the recipe. Don't forget that step!

Crafting the Smithing Station:

Once you've got all the materials and the recipe unlocked, head to a crafting station (like your basic Workbench) and whip up the Smithing Station. Now you're ready to start upgrading!
