Reach the Sandbox in Grounded: Your Guide

Alright, so you're looking to get into the Sandbox in Grounded? It's a pretty wild area, and getting there involves a few key steps. Think of it like building a bridge to a new world, but with more bugs and less concrete. Let's break it down so you can get there without too much hassle.

First things first: you'll need 12 Silk Rope. Seriously, don't skip this. You can't even learn the recipe for it until you've analyzed some Web Fiber. Once you have that, you'll use a Spinning Wheel to turn 1 Web Fiber into 1 Silk Rope. This rope is super important because it's what you'll use to build a zipline from the Picnic Table all the way down into the Sandbox.

How to Move the Leaning Shovel

Before you can even think about ziplines, you've got to deal with the Leaning Shovel. You'll find it on the western side of the map, kind of southeast of the Picnic Table. When you get there, you'll see a rock jammed underneath it. This rock needs to go, and the best way to do that is with an explosion.

You can craft either a Bratburst or a Splatburst bomb. For a Bratburst, you'll need 2 Fungal Growth, 1 Red Ant Egg, and 4 Dry Grass Chunks. If you're going for a Splatburst, it's 5 Web Fiber, 1 Bratburst, and 5 Sap. Either bomb will do the trick. Once that rock is gone, the shovel will shift and lean right up against the Picnic Table, opening up your path.

After the shovel is leaning against the table, climb up it. Once you're on the Picnic Table, hang a left. You'll need to go around that big yellow lunch box. Then, take another right and carefully jump down onto the lower part of the bench support. Keep heading north along this support until you see some nails. You can jump on those to get to the other side of the Picnic Table seat.

How to Climb the Cooler Box

Now that you're on the other side of the Picnic Table, you'll see some books. Head towards them, and you can actually run up them to get to a Cooler Box. Look for a big red button on the Cooler Box. You'll need to hit this with a busting weapon. When you do, the handle will drop, and you can use it to climb all the way to the top of the Picnic Table.

How to Construct the Zipline From the Picnic Table to the Sandbox

You're almost there! Once you're on top of the Picnic Table, make your way south. Keep an eye out for holes in the table structure – you don't want to fall through! You're heading towards the Field Station, which is under that orange journal you might have seen. Just past the Field Station, you'll spot a Zipline Anchor. This is where all that Silk Rope you crafted comes into play. You need to build a zipline here to get you from the top of the Picnic Table down into the Sandbox.

With the zipline built, hop on and ride it down. Just a heads-up, the Sandbox itself is pretty dangerous. Make sure you're geared up with some good weapons and armor before you go exploring. You'll be facing off against deadly Antlions, Wolf Spiders, and both Black Worker and Soldier Ants. Stay sharp!
