Discover how to locate the elusive Pond Lab in Grounded. This guide details the necessary equipment like the Gill Tube and the underwater path through Koi Pond.
The Pond Lab is located deep within the Koi Pond, near Oak Lab. To reach it, you'll need equipment that allows you to breathe underwater. The easiest item to craft for this purpose is the Gill Tube, which provides enough underwater breathing time to reach the lab. Without the Gill Tube or the Bubble Helmet, reaching the Pond Lab is impossible.
How to Make the Gill Tube:
To unlock the Gill Tube recipe, you must analyze an Eelgrass Strand at the Resource Analyzer. The Gill Tube increases your underwater breathing time from 40 seconds to 80 seconds.
Materials needed for the Gill Tube:
- Lilypad Wax x2
- Eelgrass Strand x4
- Silk Rope x2
For detailed instructions on acquiring these resources, refer to the guide on How to Make a Gill Tube.
How to Get to the Pond Lab:
Once you have the Gill Tube or Bubble Helmet, head to the Koi Pond. Locate the juice box near the edge and swim northwestish from it. Before diving, swim for a few seconds to conserve breath.
As you dive, look for a plant that produces air bubbles. This plant serves as a waypoint and a way to restore your breath by swimming into the large bubbles. Bubbles can also be obtained from holes in pipes.
After finding the bubble plant, look downwards for a pipe leading deeper into a cave-like area. Before reaching the T-Rex Toy, ensure you grab air from the pipe, as it's the last air source before the lab.
Swim towards the T-Rex, then veer slightly left towards a bubble stream. Enter this stream to be propelled forward. In the next area, quickly swim towards a tunnel opening on the far wall, guided by the pink glow of a Raw Science bubble.
Inside the lab tunnel, swim right and then up into a room. You'll need to activate the Biometric Scanner. After the scan completes, quickly swim up the newly opened door to reach a dry room and the Pond Lab.
