BBQ Spill and Charcoal Hot Springs Guide

Navigate the dangers of the Grounded BBQ Spill and Charcoal Hot Springs. Discover locations for Milk Molars, Raw Science, the Spicy Coaltana, and more.

The BBQ Spill is located in the upper grasslands area. To reach it, use the Upper Yard Ascend and blow up the rock blocking the path. Once there, you'll encounter intense heat. To survive, equip the Antlion armor set, consume a Quesadillantlion for sizzle protection, and consider the Fresh Defence Mutation.

Milk Molar Locations

• Mega Milk Molar 1: Behind the hot coals in the BBQ Grill.
• Mega Milk Molar 2: Underneath the BBQ lid, guarded by a Wolf Spider.
• Milk Molar: In the discarded Charcoal bag to the right of the BBQ spill.

Raw Science Locations

• 500 Raw Science: Underneath the BBQ lid.
• 500 Raw Science: The eastern BBQ leg.
• 500 Raw Science: Near the charcoal bag, by the light stands.

Ladybird Larva Weaknesses

Ladybird Larva are weak to stabbing weapons and the fresh element type. A spear with a fresh modifier is ideal, but a mint weapon or mint arrows can also be effective.

Charcoal Mining

Mineable charcoal rocks are abundant. You'll need a Tier 2 hammer (Insect Hammer or Black Ox Hammer) to mine them. Charcoal is used for crafting items like Ovens, Ever Burning Torches, and Charcoal Ash for base walls.

Spicy Coaltana and Guard Dog Mutation

The Spicy Coaltana recipe and Guard Dog mutation are unlocked by interacting with a fiery katana inside a charcoal bag northeast of the Charcoal Hot Springs. This triggers a defense mission where you must protect the katana from waves of Ladybird Larva. Prepare medicines, use stabbing or mint weapons, and grenades if needed. Successfully defending the katana rewards you with the Guard Dog mutation and the Spicy Coaltana recipe.

Buried Treasure

Similar to the sandbox, buried treasures can be found in the ash using a Tier 2 shovel. Look for gleaming yellow dots. Loot includes Salt Shards, Spicy Shards, Mints, Gum, Sunken Bone, and Crow Feathers.
