Kanata's Sidequest

Alright, so you're tackling Kanata's sidequest, and that means it's time to face off against Omega Krom. Don't worry, he's got a lot of the same moves as the last Krom you fought, so you should have a bit of a head start.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Omega Krom has attacks like Stab and Lacerate that hit directly in front of him.
• Elevate is his move to fly off-screen, which also damages you.
• He can follow up Elevate with Black Dive or Dark Wing to return, both dealing significant damage.
• Contempt erects physical and magical shields.
• Get Lost! removes his debuffs.
• Tail Roll deals damage to all characters.
• Terrimpact can deal over 200+ damage to all characters.
• Final Bang is a desperation attack dealing 250+ damage to the whole party.

Phases:

1. Krom's Standard Attacks: Be aware of Stab and Lacerate hitting the front. Positioning is key.
2. Elevate & Dive: When he flies up with Elevate, you can't hit him. He'll come down with Black Dive or Dark Wing. Both, along with Elevate, can hit for around 250+ damage.
3. Shields: He'll use Contempt to put up physical and magical shields. You can't do much here but wait them out.
4. Desperation: As his health gets low, he'll use Final Bang, a powerful party-wide attack.

Strategy:

• Position your melee characters to the sides and ranged characters to the lower corners to avoid his frontal attacks.
• If you're using Kanata, try to use Holy Force to seal off Elevate. This is his most annoying move, so stopping it is a huge help.
• Healing should be your top priority throughout the fight, as many of his attacks pack a serious punch.
• When he uses Contempt to put up shields, don't waste your Momentum Charges or special skills. Just wait for the shields to drop.
• Before his health gets critically low, make sure everyone's HP is full. This is crucial to survive his Final Bang attack.

• After defeating Omega Krom, exit Los Labyrinth and return to Plana in the imperial palace.
• Plana will give you the Moon's Soul item.
• Completing Kanata's sidequest unlocks the Lost Savior skill spritnite at the magic consortium.
