Locke's Sidequest

The quest leads you to a boss fight against Gravell. This enemy is very similar to Alpsy, whom you encountered earlier in Mistral Gorge.

Gravell's main threat comes from its ability to use 'Breath In' to clump your party together, followed by 'Head Charge' and 'Headbutt' for massive damage. If it uses 'Muscle Flex,' its physical attack and defense will increase, making these attacks even more dangerous.

'Fang Bite' is a two-hit attack that only targets the front, so you can avoid it by staying to Gravell's sides or out of its direct path.

Be prepared for 'Menace,' an attack that will completely clear your ATB gauges, and there's no way to prevent it.

If you recall your strategy against Alpsy, you should be able to handle Gravell. Keep your melee characters positioned on Gravell's flanks and your ranged characters outside of its direct line of sight.

When Gravell uses 'Breath In,' quickly reposition your party members to avoid the subsequent powerful attack.

The standard strategy of debuffing the boss's strength is highly effective. Use Kanata's 'Calamity' skill or any other skill with 'Physical Mar' attached to reduce Gravell's attack power.

Remember to heal your party members whenever necessary to keep them in the fight.

After you defeat Gravell, you'll watch a series of cutscenes. You'll then find yourself back in Wyllia, where Raggys will give you the Raggys’s Spritnite.

Take the Raggys’s Spritnite to any magic consortium to unlock the Burst Shot skill. You'll also gain the ability to create Burst Shot using memories.
