- 1Find Plana on the first floor of the palace, between the two elevators. She will open a secret area with an elevator leading to the Lunar Kiln.
- 2Upon entering the Lunar Kiln, you will encounter three enemy types: Karesyns, Black Flappers, and Earth Guardians. Earth Guardians explode upon defeat. Enemies are located in large craters.
- 3Explore the Lunar Kiln for items: a blue spark in the southwestern corner, a regular spark on the eastern side, and two chests in the northwestern corner containing 2 VP Chargers and a Steel Fang.
- 4Proceed to the northern end of the area where a locked door blocks the path.
- 5To unlock the door, you must solve a tile puzzle. Step on blank tiles to dim lights; the path created must use all lights. If you make a mistake, use the console on the southern end to reset.
- 6The correct sequence for the tile puzzle, starting from the bottom yellow panel, is: Left, Up, Right, Right, Up, Up.
- 7After unlocking the door, proceed through it. You will reach a three-way split. Venture west to find a blue sparkle.
- 8Take the eastern path to find a chest containing an Earthly Cane.
- 9Take the middle path into the next room. Ignore the side paths and continue straight.
- 10A scene will occur, and you will regain your vulcosuits. A teleporter will appear; use it to return to the palace.
- 11To continue the story, head to the launchpad at the Command Base.
