Master the Metal Gear Ninja boss fight with this guide. Learn his attack patterns, weaknesses, and the best strategies to defeat him using hand-to-hand combat.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weapons are ineffective initially; the Ninja dodges all sword attacks.
• Weak to hand-to-hand combat (punches and kicks).
• Vulnerable after performing combos.
• Can be found with Thermal Goggles when cloaked.

Phases:

1. Initial Phase: The Ninja uses his sword. Attack him with punches and kicks, then immediately retreat to avoid his sword strikes.
2. Hand-to-Hand Phase: The Ninja throws down his sword and engages in hand-to-hand combat. Continue using punch and kick combos, and retreat after each combo as bosses are invulnerable to repetitive attacks.
3. Cloaking Phase: The Ninja uses a cloaking device and hides in a corner. Equip Thermal Goggles to locate him. If you fail to hit him within a short time, he will attack. He teleports after being hit.
4. Teleportation Phase: The Ninja teleports rapidly to your side and delivers powerful punches. Dodge by running ahead of him as he teleports and counter with your own combos.
5. Final Phase: After his health bar reaches zero, he glows and creates a large circle of electricity. Shoot him once with any gun to defeat him.

Strategy:

• Contact Nastasha for information about the Ninja's skeleton.
• Do not stand still, as the Ninja has a damaging stomp attack from the air.
• Do not waste Chaff grenades.
• When the fight begins, rush the Ninja and land a combination of punches. Retreat immediately after your combo.
• After landing a couple of combos, he will land in the middle of the room and talk. He will then throw down his sword.
• Continue using punch and kick combos, ensuring you get away after each one.
• In the cloaking phase, use Thermal Goggles to find him. Be quick to attack, or he will hit you.
• In the teleportation phase, anticipate his movement. Run ahead of him as he teleports to dodge and land your own combo.
• Once his health is depleted, he will glow and create an electrical field. Shoot him once with a gun to finish the fight.
