Walkthrough

After the cutscene (a sequence of events shown in the game), when you regain control of Snake, run left to find another ration if you want one. You can only carry 2 rations for now.

Head right onto the snowy area.

Avoid the patrolling guard.

Go around the air conditioning unit.

To reach the second floor, there is a set of stairs in the top right corner, but a surveillance camera (a device that watches an area) is present.

If you want to get past the camera, stick to the wall directly underneath it and sneak past quietly.

Before entering the facility, head to the area directly above the heli pad.

You will find a truck parked here.

Get into the back of this truck to find your first firearm: the SOCOM pistol. Equip it.

Exit the truck and choose which floor you will enter the facility from.

Tips

Be mindful of the guard patrolling the snowy area.
Sneak carefully under the surveillance camera to avoid detection.
You can find an additional ration by running left after regaining control of Snake.
