Learn how to defeat the four stealth soldiers ambushing Snake in the elevator after the boss battle. Get tips on using thermal goggles and the FAMAS.

Alright, so you just finished that last big fight, and Otacon's gonna call you up. He'll tell you the elevator in the tower is miraculously working again, so you should hop on it ASAP.

Before you head down, if you missed it earlier, grab that Ration from the roof. Then, make your way back to the elevator floor. If those turrets are still giving you trouble, toss a Chaff grenade to clear your path. Once you reach the elevator, it's time to ride it down.

As soon as you step inside, the weight limit bell will ring. Then, Snake gets another call from Otacon. Turns out, some sneaky folks have stolen four of Otacon's stealth prototype devices, and guess what? They're all in the elevator with you right now! Get ready, because a frantic battle is about to kick off.

There are four soldiers in the elevator with you, all using those stealth devices Otacon developed. Your mission: take them all down.

Strategy:

• See Them Clearly: Equip your Thermal Goggles. They'll make spotting the invisible soldiers much easier, though you can probably see them moving around even without them.
• Weapon Choice: The FAMAS is your best bet here for taking them out quickly.
• Close Combat Takedown: Alternatively, you can get up close, grab them, and break their necks. It's a bit riskier but super efficient if you can pull it off.

Once you've dealt with all four soldiers, the elevator will reach the bottom floor, and you can continue with the story. As soon as you exit the elevator, head left. Behind the stairs, you'll find some more ammo – grab it if you need it.

Now, head back to the elevator area and enter the small door on the south wall, to the right of the elevator itself. Be warned, there are gun cams in this area, so it's a good idea to throw another Chaff grenade just to be safe.

Inside this next room, just run south and take the door on your left. Keep moving down this passage until you reach the door at the very end. This will lead you out to a snow field, where the next big boss battle is waiting.

As soon as you enter the snow field, run forward. You'll spot Sniper Wolf lining up her shot via your sniper scope. Yep, it's time to take her down one more time to move forward. You'll have a pretty long Codec chat with Otacon, and Wolf will even jump in. Once that's all done, the battle officially begins.
