Learn how to recruit troops, manage food, and defeat raiders in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord's Tutorial 2. Follow our guide to progress through the early campaign.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Travel to the village of Tevea (north-east of the training camp) to recruit troops and purchase food. You can also recruit from Zestea, Canoros, and Sagora villages, and Poros castle, which also offers mercenaries and companions.
  2. 2
When in Tevea, press [TAB] to open the village menu. Purchase food (initially 3 sacks of grain, with another 3 available after speaking with Headman Deltisos) and hire as many troops as possible. It's recommended to hire the maximum available to allow them to gain experience.
  3. 3
Speak with Headman Deltisos in Tevea. He will inform you about local raiders connected to your siblings' disappearance.
  4. 4
Locate and defeat three groups of raiders around Tevea. Each group has 6 troops, and you have 8. They are marked on the map with light blue exclamation marks. Click on a group to initiate combat.
  5. 5
On the battlefield, press [F1] to open the combat tactics menu, then [F3] to order your troops to charge. Join the fight.
  6. 6
After the battle, press [TAB] to review the outcome (remaining troops, kills, upgrades, casualties). You can then choose to capture or free prisoners and take loot (food, weapons, armor, horses, supplies).
  7. 7
Once all three raider groups are defeated, a prisoner will reveal the location of Radagos's Hideout to the north, at the foot of the mountains.
  8. 8
Travel to Radagos's Hideout. If you need to heal, press 'Play' on the campaign map to rest.
  9. 9
In Radagos's Hideout, order your troops to attack. Use [LEFT ALT] to reveal hidden enemies. Clear out all bandit groups.
  10. 10
Confront Radagos. You can either fight him with your men or duel him alone. Dueling him grants more renown and morale but he has high health and is difficult. If you fail the duel, you can return to fight with your men after resting. A good strategy is to kite Radagos and attack from the side.
  11. 11
After the fight with Radagos, you will choose your family name, clan banner, and clan colours, ending the tutorial.
Tips
  • Hire as many troops as possible early on to maximize their training and experience gain.
  • Keep a healthy variety of food in your inventory to maintain troop morale. Sacks of grain are a basic staple.
  • Experiment with combat commands ([F1]-[F4]) during or after battles to familiarize yourself with troop tactics.
  • If low on health after fighting raiders, rest by pressing 'Play' on the campaign map. Outside the tutorial, you can rest by visiting any settlement and selecting 'Wait here for some time'.
  • When fighting Radagos, kiting him and attacking from a safe distance is a viable strategy if you choose to duel him.
The tutorial concludes with the choice of your family name, clan banner, and clan colours.
