Difficulty Settings & New Game+
  • Acolyte: Recommended for players new to the Ninja Gaiden series or action games in general. Enemies are less aggressive, deal less damage, and you receive more healing items.
  • Warrior: The standard difficulty. Offers a balanced challenge for players familiar with action games. Enemies are more numerous and hit harder.
  • Mentor: A significant step up. Enemies are highly aggressive, have increased health, and deal substantial damage. Requires mastery of combat mechanics.
  • Master Ninja: The ultimate challenge. Only for the most dedicated and skilled players. Enemies are relentless, bosses have new attack patterns, and resources are extremely scarce. Expect to die frequently.

Upon completing the game on any difficulty, you unlock New Game+. In New Game+, you carry over your acquired weapons, Ninpo, upgrades, and collected essence. However, enemies are significantly stronger, and new challenges may appear. This mode is perfect for replaying the story with your fully powered-up Ryu and tackling higher difficulties.
