Challenge Types

Learn how to complete all challenges in Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, including finding secret rooms, deflecting projectiles, and avoiding pits, to achieve the highest ranks.

This guide covers the challenges and collectibles for the 1-3 After The Demons! stage in Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. The main challenges include finding a secret room, deflecting 10 enemy projectiles, and avoiding falling into pits. Collectibles for this stage are 3 Crystal Skulls, 5 Golden Scarabs, and 1 Scroll.

Challenges:

• Find the secret room: Located in the cave after Shrine #2. Destroy a fake wall on the bottom right corner to access it.
• Deflect 10 enemy projectiles: This can be done by deflecting shuriken and kunai thrown by Red Ninjas. A good spot is near Shrine #1.
• Avoid falling into pits: Several areas in this stage feature pits. Be cautious while navigating these sections.

Collectibles:

• Crystal Skulls: 3 found throughout the stage. One is located above the pit area near Shrine #4, another is guarded by an elite Fuma Shield near Shrine #4, and the last is found by hanging off a ledge on a broken bridge near Shrine #5.
• Golden Scarabs: 5 total. One is found after crossing fireballs near Shrine #1, another is near Shrine #2, a Triple Scarab (counts as 3) is found near Shrine #3, and one is found near Shrine #2.
• Scroll: 1 found in the secret room accessible after Shrine #2.

Boss Fight: Gurthka

The boss fight against Gurthka is a rematch. He has several attacks including a ground slam that creates fireballs, a flying claw swipe with fireballs, a fire breath attack, and a ground slam that creates fire pillars. He also summons a blue aura skull for free damage. The arena now has fire in the center, limiting movement. Staying on one side and waiting for him to come to you is a recommended strategy.
