Walkthrough

    Follow the path right, deflecting shuriken from Red Ninjas to complete a challenge. Collect the first Golden Scarab by dropping down using fireballs.

    Continue right, defeating Fuma Shields. After the next shrine, enter the cave and destroy a fake wall on the bottom right to find a secret room containing the Scroll collectible.

Boss Fight: Gurthka

Gurthka has 4 main attacks:

  1. He slams down, releasing 4 fireballs that curve. Dodge between them and attack.
  2. He flies low, swipes with his claw, and releases 3 fireballs. Dodge his claw and attack.
  3. A large fire breath attack covering most of the arena. Move to the opposite side.
  4. He creates 6 fire pillars from the ground. Stay in the safe zones between them.

He also summons a blue aura skull for free damage. The arena now has fire in the center, limiting movement. Stay on one side and attack him when he approaches. His flamethrower attack has a larger safe zone due to the arena size.

Tips
  • To complete the 'Deflect 10 enemy projectiles' challenge, find a Red Ninja and have him repeatedly throw shuriken at you.
  • For the 'Avoid falling into pits' challenge, be cautious in all pit areas, especially the later ones with wider gaps.
  • Consider buying the 'Blood Frenzy' talisman from Muramasa.
  • Use the Guillotine Boost to bounce off fireballs from below near the top of the second ascent.
