Walkthrough

    Clear the initial room and obtain the FLYING SWALLOW Scroll from the chest. Exit by cutting the wall scroll.

    In the Dojo Room, avoid the trapdoor. Defeat the 10-12 White and Black Spider Ninjas that emerge from rotating walls. Use evasive rolls and attacks from behind. If hit by an Incendiary Shuriken, use Reverse Wind to avoid explosion.

    After clearing the room, proceed past the trapdoor to a wall scroll, cut it down, and enter the revealed small room to find the Save Point. Save your game.

    Return to the Dojo Room and fall through the trapdoor into the cave below.

    In the Underground Storage House, destroy the hard-to-see pots at the cave's end to find a hidden chest. Do NOT open the second chest, as it contains Bats. Exit the cave by destroying fire posts and jumping back to the upper ledge.

    Grab Ayane's Kunai if desired and continue up the ledge. Destroy the two enemies and re-enter the building.

    Enter the open ceiling gap leading down to the Tatami Room. Before jumping down, open the lone chest to find the FANGS OF THE SAMURAI.

    Jump down to the Tatami Room and return to the Storage Hall. Place the FANGS OF THE SAMURAI onto the Samurai statue to obtain the KEY OF COURAGE.

    Head back to the Save Point and save your game.

    Proceed up the stairs towards the walkway. Eliminate the two ninjas and use the KEY OF COURAGE on the next door to unlock it.

    Enter the Inner Sanctum. Defeat the 8-10 Black Spider Ninjas that jump down. Use hard combos and evasive rolls.

    Once the room is cleared, the exit door will re-open, and the entrance to the boss's lair will open.

    (Optional) Return to the Save Point.

    Head to the Inner Fortress to face the boss, MURAI.

    After defeating Murai, exit the Inner Sanctum and return to the Save Point to save your game.

    Exit the Fortress to the Valley Of The Shadows.

    Enter the cavern and proceed to the Altar. Grab the ART OF THE FIRE WHEELS Ninpo scroll.

    Ride the manual elevator down. Behind the elevator, find a well-hidden chest.

    Exit the elevator area to a grassy area. Use a Wall Run to the next ledge and open the nearby chest for a SMOKE BOMB.

    In the Upper Mountain Path area, defeat the three approaching Samurais. Use a charged sword attack (UT) for the first, and an On-Land Charge with essence for the other two.

    Slide down the large hillside slope in the Mountain Path area. Jump and grab the branch to avoid falling, then jump across branches to dry land.

    In the Outer Village, defeat the approaching Samurais by charging your sword for Ultimate Techniques (UTs) and evading melee attacks.

    Climb the watchtower ladder to find a chest containing the HAYABUSA VILLAGE MAP Key Item.

    Make your way to the broken bridge area. Use Water Running abilities to reach the opposite ledge.

    Before climbing to the Save Point, use Water Run to enter a small shack under the broken bridge to find a chest with a LIFE OF THE GODS item.

    Run back and use the Save Point.

Boss Battle: Murai

Strategy: Murai is the first boss. On Hard Mode, he will be assisted by white ninjas and Black Spider ninjas.
