Boss Fight: Gooper Blooper
Stats / Weaknesses:
- HP: 300
- Attack: 7
- Defense: 9
- Weakness: Sponge item (absorbs poison), Hopslipper stickers (early damage), Spike Helmets (prevent hits).
Strategy:
- The Sponge item is crucial for this fight. If you don't have it, bring plenty of Shiny Mushrooms and coins.
- The goal is to defeat Gooper Blooper quickly, ideally within six turns.
- During the first few turns, use regular [Hopslipper] stickers for damage. Save more powerful stickers for later.
- Gooper Blooper's tentacle attacks can be mitigated; each glowing tentacle deals damage. Spike Helmets can prevent these hits entirely.
- At the end of the third turn, Gooper Blooper will turn bright purple. You MUST use the Sponge item now.
- Using the Sponge will absorb the poison and poison Gooper Blooper, causing him to lose 30 HP per turn.
- If you fail to use the Sponge, Mario will be severely poisoned, losing 7-9 HP per turn.
- Gooper Blooper will use his poison attack every fourth turn until one of you is defeated. Ensure you defeat him before he can use it again after the Sponge absorption.
- The poison also weakens Gooper Blooper, causes him to miss attacks, and makes him vulnerable.
- Defeating Gooper Blooper yields the [Gooper Blooper Card].
