All six primary attribute scores begin at 10, and you have 15 points to allocate. You can move points between attributes at a 1-to-1 ratio. Scores below 10 incur penalties to derived attributes, while scores above 10 grant bonuses. The minimum attribute value is 3, and the maximum is 18. Including racial and cultural modifications, the range on character creation is from 2 to 20, or even 2 to 21 for Might and Perception.

One strategy for initial attribute distribution is to set all scores to 9, then allocate points to priority attributes and remove them from less important ones. Attributes with mild penalties (8 or 9) can often be improved to 10 with gear. Significantly lowering an attribute can harm your character long-term.

Might

Might measures physical and mental strength, influencing all damage rolls, including firearms, and the effectiveness of healing abilities.
