Walkthrough
- 1After the cable car stops, carry Sherry down the stairs and use her ID Wristband to open the triple doors to the NEST lab.
- 2Go south and enter the Security Room on your left. After a scene, check the PC for the [IMPORTANT] NEST-wide Alert file (52/58).
- 3Pick up the Flame Round from the center table and the Research Lab North Area Map from around it.
- 4Optionally, save your game in the break room near the reception desk. Ensure you have Flame Rounds and consider keeping a magnum round for a specific enemy.
- 5Go west through the door to the Canteen. Deal with the zombies inside, picking up a Hand Grenade and Handgun Ammo x15 from the tables. Collect Needle Cartridges x4 from the counter.
- 6Follow the clear area to the back and climb the ladder to avoid a zombie.
- 7Drop into the kitchen, pick up Large Gunpowder and the Combat Knife from the counter. Arm yourself with your magnum.
- 8Carefully open the door to the kitchen; a heavily armored zombie is outside. Let it come to you, backpedal, and shoot its head.
- 9Go west to the Nap Room. Pick up a Flame Round from the table.
- 10Search the left locker for the High Voltage Condenser (Spark Shot) accessory. Combine it with your Spark Shot to unlock the Packed Backpack record.
- 11Grab the Electronic Chip from the dangling arm in the bunk and combine it with your ID Wristband for level 2 clearance.
- 12Return to the reception area and use the item box.
- 13Go through the now-accessible south door. Examine the dead soldier for the Special Forces Recording and update your goals.
- 14Use the console to extend a bridge to the central area, then find the level 2 console to extend another bridge to the East Lab Area.
- 15Cross the bridge to the East Lab lobby. Pick up a Green Herb and Gunpowder from the counter and desk, then save your game.
- 16Go east to the Presentation Room. You'll see a dead scientist with a level 3 clearance wristband pinned to the window.
- 17Leave via the northwest entrance. An Ivy will drop from the ceiling. Shoot its sacs to make it collapse, then use a Flame Round to burn it.
- 18Pick up High Grade Gunpowder from a console table and kill another Ivy ahead.
- 19Enter the Control Room. Pick up a Flash Grenade and examine the console. Enter access codes: 3123 to unlock a Greenhouse hatch and 2067 to enable the mixing machine in the Drug Testing Lab.
- 20Examine the machine near the window to receive an empty Dispersal Cartridge.
- 21Enter the Greenhouse, turn left, pick up a Red Herb, and proceed to the Drug Testing Lab. Grab Large Gunpowder and a Hand Grenade.
- 22Use your Dispersal Cartridge on the mixing machine. Follow the sequence R, G, B, R, G, B, R, G to fill the dispenser.
- 23Return to the Greenhouse. Head to the southeast corner hatch. You may need to navigate around enemies. Pick up a Blue Herb if needed.
- 24Go down the ladder. In the western corner, find Large Gunpowder and the Research Lab Area East Map.
- 25Go through the door in the opposite corner into a Lounge area. Pick up Flame Rounds x3 from the sofa.
- 26Kill the three playing-dead zombies on the left. Pick up a Green Herb if desired.
- 27Head west. Two Lickers will drop from the ceiling. Use a Flash Grenade and your grenade launcher to kill them.
- 28Continue west and go through the door. Deal with the zombie at the bottom of the stairs.
- 29Run up the stairs; a zombie will drop behind you but can be ignored for now.
Tips
- Shooting all the bulbs on an Ivy's body unlocks a record. The JMB Hp3 might make this easier.
- Flame rounds are rare; only use them when necessary.
- Consider keeping a magnum round for the heavily armored zombie.
