Mini-Boss Battle: Prison Egg
When you encounter the machine disguised as a Prison Egg, jump on the plunger to reveal two spiked arms. To destroy this Mini-Boss, you must make it attack itself. Position Knuckles on the plunger and wait for one of the spiked arms to attempt to hit you. When it does, run off the plunger. The machine will be hit by its own arm instead.
Mini-Boss Battle: Laser Machine
There are two Mini-Bosses in the Flying Battery zone. After navigating Act 2, you will encounter the Laser Machine Mini-Boss. The strategy for this fight is to achieve 0 hits.
- Pay close attention to the minimap (a small map display on the HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap)) to track your progress and upcoming obstacles.
