Walkthrough

Follow the path until a platform begins ascending.

Keep running on the platform until you reach the final spikes.

The platform will stop rising, and EggRobo will appear in the center of the screen.

EggRobo unleashes a laser machine similar to Sonic 2's Wing Fortress Zone Boss.

You cannot destroy this machine directly; it must destroy itself.

Each time the machine fires a laser, it damages itself and causes the room to cave in.

If you have a Lightning/Water Shield, hitting the machine will have no effect.

Eventually, the machine will explode, and EggRobo will run off.

Tips

The boss sprite shown is Robotnik's, but you are fighting EggRobo.
Sonic Team apparently did not replace Robotnik's sprite with EggRobo's due to potential programming difficulty with EggRobo's sprite for this boss, which has a different sprite than all others.
