Jin's Official Story:

So, Jin's story is pretty heavy. He's the son of Jun Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. After some intense fights involving Kazuya and Heihachi Mishima, Jin bolts from the scene. But he senses something dark, loses himself, and wakes up in a wrecked forest. He realizes with horror that he trashed the place himself while he was out of control. Back in Yakushima, he's tormented by the growing Devil gene within him. He knows he's losing himself to it and decides he has to find and destroy the 'wicked master'—who, ironically, is his own great-grandfather, Jinpachi, the one seemingly amplifying the Devil's influence.
