Learn how to find and summon the Queen Bee in Terraria, her drops, and strategies for defeating her. Includes arena tips and expert mode details.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Locate a Bee Hive within the Jungle biome. It is made of honey blocks.
  2. 2
Mine the Hive blocks to access the interior.
  3. 3
Inside, you will find a jar containing a Larva on a platform.
  4. 4
Warning: Breaking the Larva will summon the Queen Bee. Ensure you are prepared before breaking it.
  5. 5
Alternatively, craft an Abeemination using x5 Honey Block, x1 Stinger, x5 Hive, and x1 Bottled Honey to summon the Queen Bee.

Arena Crafting:

  1. Construct an arena with platforms. You can add multiple levels.
  2. Incorporate a Honey Crevice/Gap/Spot. This allows you to quickly fall into Honey for a 30-second regen buff and then out.
  3. Place a Sunflower on a platform made of at least two dirt blocks. Allow grass to grow or use grass seeds (bought from the Dryad or found with the Staff of Regrowth in a Jungle Chest). A Sunflower provides a +10% movement speed bonus.

Queen Bee Stats:

  • HP: 3400/4760
  • Damage: 22/44 (stinger), 30/54 (melee)
  • Defense: 8/8-28 (defense increases as HP lowers in Expert Mode)

Queen Bee Attacks:

  • She levels horizontally and performs three charges, which can be jumped over.
  • She spawns Bees while hovering.
  • She fires poison stingers rapidly while hovering and swooping.
  • In Expert Mode, she also summons larger Bees.

Status Effects:

  • Normal Mode: Poison from stingers lasts 10 seconds.
  • Expert Mode: Poison from melee attacks lasts 2-8 seconds, and from stinger attacks lasts 2-20 seconds.

Tips
  • Use a piercing or rapid-firing weapon to deal with spawned Bees.
  • In Expert Mode, Queen Bee gains more defense as her health decreases, making her harder to damage.
  • The Honey buff provides a small regeneration boost.
  • The Sunflower buff increases movement speed, aiding in dodging attacks.
