Gaining Entry: Great Bay Temple 2

Follow this guide to complete the optional side quest for Piece of Heart #39 and summon the Great Turtle to reach the Great Bay Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D.

Alright, before we dive into the Great Bay Temple itself, there's a little optional quest that's totally worth it. It's how you snag Piece of Heart #39 and get yourself to the temple entrance. You'll need to be Zora Link for this, so make sure you've got that mask handy!

First things first, head over to Zora Cape and make your way into Zora Hall. We're looking for Mikau's room, which is the very first door on your right. Inside, you'll find Tijo, who's busy drumming away. You'll need to use your Hookshot to get up to the second level of the room. Once you're up there, check out the journal. It's got the first two parts of a song that Mikau was working on:

Part 1: LRYL

Part 2: RYXR

Got that? Cool. Now, leave Mikau's room and head to Japas' room, which is the next one down the hall. Talk to Japas, and then pull out your guitar to start a jam session. Japas will play his part, and then it's your turn to follow along with the notes you just found:

Japas Part 1: YYRL -> LRYL

Japas Part 2: XXYR -> RYXR

After that, move on to the next room, Evan's. This is where you'll need to take off the Zora Mask. Play the complete song that you and Japas put together:

Song: YYRLLRYL -> XXRYRYXR

Evan will be so impressed that he'll steal the song (kinda!) and give you a Piece of Heart to keep him quiet. Nice!
