Giant Masked Insect, Twinmold

Master the Twinmold boss fight in Majora's Mask 3D! Learn strategies for both the Blue and Red Moldorm phases, including how to get the Giant's Mask.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Blue Moldorm: Weak point revealed after shooting its eyes (3 in Phase 1, 5 in Phase 2). Vulnerable to Light Arrows.
• Red Moldorm: Can be stunned by boulders. Weak point is its head after being stunned. Vulnerable to physical attacks.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Blue Moldorm

   You'll start the fight against the Blue Moldorm. The central platform has some jars with Arrows and Magic, which can be useful, but it's not a safe place to stand. The Blue Moldorm has three eyes on its underbelly. Use your Hero's Bow to shoot all three eyes. Once all eyes are hit, the creature will crash to the ground, revealing its weak spot: a giant eyeball. Hit this weak spot with Light Arrows. After taking damage, it will fly up again, this time with five eyes on its underbelly. Shoot all five eyes, and then hit the revealed weak spot again to defeat the Blue Moldorm.

2. Phase 2: Red Moldorm

   After defeating the Blue Moldorm, a chest will appear on the platform. Open it to obtain the Giant's Mask. Equip this mask, but be aware that it slowly drains your magic. If you don't have Chateau Romani, the pillars and pots in the arena can help regenerate your magic. The objective now is to punch the Red Moldorm until it collapses, then smash its head a few times. You'll need to repeat this cycle four times to defeat it. The Red Moldorm attacks by shooting fireballs and summoning minions. These minions drop hearts or magic, so defeating them can help you recover your meters. The most effective strategy is to use one of the nearby boulders. Pick one up and launch it at the Red Moldorm to instantly knock it out. This makes it vulnerable to attack, allowing you to smash its head. After defeating the Red Moldorm, collect the Heart Piece and Twinmold Remains. A scene showing the final Guardian will then play.

Strategy:

• For the Blue Moldorm, focus on hitting its eyes with your bow. Light Arrows are key for damaging its exposed weak spot.
• For the Red Moldorm, the quickest way to victory is using the boulders. Stun it with a boulder, then rush in to attack its head.
• Keep an eye on your magic meter when using the Giant's Mask. Utilize the pillars and pots for magic replenishment if needed.
• Defeat the summoned minions to gather hearts and magic refills.
