Guide to Part 30 of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, covering the Ikana Graveyard. Learn how to obtain the Captain's Hat and the Song of Storms, and find a Piece of Heart.
Walkthrough
- 1Arrive at Ikana Graveyard (Aboveground). Head north along the path, dealing with Keese.
- 2Speak with Dampe, then approach the massive wall. Put on the Bunny Hood and approach the large skeleton.
- 3Play the Sonata of Awakening to initiate a fight with Skull Keeta.
- 4Chase Skull Keeta up the path, defeating Stalchildren that appear near fiery walls.
- 5Once close, swat Skull Keeta with your sword. Dodge its attacks and continue hitting it.
- 6After the battle, a chest appears on a ledge. Hookshot to it to obtain the Captain's Hat.
- 7(Optional but recommended) Return to the Oceanside Golden Skulltula House in Great Bay Coast. Use the Captain's Hat to learn how to shoot masks, netting you a Bottle.
- 8Return to ground level in Ikana Graveyard and go to the southern half. Play the Song of Time and Song of Double Time to reach the night of the first day.
- 9Find Stalchildren around a tombstone. Put on the Captain's Hat and speak with them to open the grave. Enter the passage.
- 10Inside the grave (In the Grave), go north across ledges. Defeat the swarm of Keese to obtain a Purple Rupee from a chest.
- 11Light all unlit torches with Fire Arrows (or a Deku Stick lit from one torch). The door to the next room will open.
- 12Defeat the Iron Knuckle in the next room.
- 13Speak with Flat, the composer, who appears. Hop onto the stage.
- 14Target the stone and learn the Song of Storms. The button sequence is A, Down+Circle Pad, Up+Circle Pad, A, Down+Circle Pad, Up+Circle Pad.
- 15Return outside. Play the Song of Double Time until the final night.
- 16Put on the Captain's Hat and speak with Stalchildren around a different tombstone to open another grave. Enter.
- 17Inside the second grave (In Another Grave), go north to the lower area. Speak with Dampe without any masks on.
- 18Have Dampe follow you. Walk slowly around the room, and have him dig at each patch of dirt on the bottom floor.
- 19Lead Dampe to the back of the room, get on the square platform to the left, and have him join you. Walk off to bring him to a high ledge.
- 20Go south and up the ladder to the elevated dirt patch. Have Dampe follow you onto it.
- 21Drop off the ledge, making Dampe follow, and lead him to the right platform. Leap up the staircase-like blocks.
- 22When Dampe's platform arrives, lead him to the pile of dirt up here. This triggers the appearance of a Big Poe.
- 23Keep your distance and shoot the Big Poe with arrows while it floats. Dodge its twirling attack.
- 24After defeating the Big Poe, open the chest for a Piece of Heart [35/52].
- 25Go to the main area, cross to the other side, use the middle staircase to the top floor, and head back outside.
- 26Backtrack to the Road of Ikana and drop into the lower area. Head southward to find a guy on a high ledge.
- 27Approach him; he states you need Garo's Mask to proceed. (If you don't have it, get it from the Gorman Racetrack by beating the Gorman Bros.) Put on the Garo's Mask.
Tips
- The Bunny Hood greatly speeds up the chase against Skull Keeta.
- Using a Deku Stick to light multiple torches saves magic and arrows compared to using Fire Arrows for each.
- The Song of Storms is primarily used to make it rain, but can also cure curses.
- Big Poes are best fought from a distance with arrows.
