Learn about all swords in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, from the Kokiri Sword to the Great Fairy Sword, and their functions.
Fierce Deity Link's Sword: While encoded into the game, you will not be able to manually equip this sword without cheating. It is used only while the Fierce Diety Mask is active. It is seemingly of the same strength as the Great Fairy Sword, but with one special feature: it can shoot waves of energy at the target when swung! These waves pierce all shields and deal damage as if you struck the foe yourself.
Gilded Sword: This second-best sword of the game is obtained when you give the Gold Dust (won from the Goron Racetrack races) to the smith in the Mountain Village. You must also have forged the Razor Sword to get this. Unlike the Razor Sword, however, this transformation is permanent, so be ready to utilize this: you'll be using this sword for most of the latter half of the game!
Great Fairy's Sword: This is the strongest sword you can consistently use, earned from the Ikana Canyon's Great Fairy after saving all 15 Stray Fairies from the Stone Temple. However, you must equip it like you would a Bow or other such item: this may seem an inconvenience, but it allows you to ignore the curse of the Blue Bubble with this sword! However, you cannot use your shield simultaneously with this sword, so be careful in battle.
Kokiri Sword: The initial sword you'll receive during the course of the game. It is the weakest of them all, but can be sharped into the Razor Sword via a blacksmith.
Razor Sword: The second-weakest sword, obtained by sharpening your Kokiri Sword at the Mountain Village's smithy. The transformation is temporal, however, lasting for only as long as 100 uses of the sword; it also goes away when you save.
Possible Bottle Contents:
- Big Poe: If you capture a Big Poe in a bottle, it's best to offer it to someone and sell it.
- Blue Potion: Can be bought from the Business Deku Scrub in Ikana for 100 Rupees per bottle. Fully restores your health as well as your magic. You can also buy it from the potion shop if you bring the proper mushroom.
- Bugs: These can be released into holes or given to people to solve puzzles.
- Chateau Romani: You can buy this from the Milk Bar, Latte in Clock Town for 200 Rupees. This makes it so that your magic gauge is full, and also will not deplete throughout the course of the game until you use the Song of Time!
- Deku Princess: Merely used to further the plot in the game.
- Fairy: You can often find these in Great Fairy Fountains, and rarely from destroying things in the field. They'll fully restore your health if used outright; however, if you're killed, the Fairy more importantly will auto-revive you, with full health.
- Fish: It's ... well, a fish. It's mostly used to solve a few puzzles in the game. It can notably be used to fill up an aquarium in the Marine Research Lab of the Great Bay to get a Piece of Heart.
- Gold Dust: Bring this to the blacksmith in the Mountain Village to be able to forge the Gilded Sword.
- Green Potion: Can be bought in many places. Fully restores your magic gauge.
- Magical Mushroom: This will allow you to create the Blue Potion at the potions shop.
- Hot Spring Water: You can use this to melt ice and solve a few requests. It turns into basic Spring Water if not used within 60 seconds of obtaining it.
- Milk: Milk is usually obtained from the Milk Bar, Latte in Clock Town for 20 Rupees per bottle. It can be used twice and heals five hearts each time.
- Poe: If you somehow capture the spirit of a Poe in a bottle, you can use it. It may recover you or hurt you: it's a crapshoot!
- Red Potion: Can be bought in many places. Fully restores your health.
- Sea Horse: Merely used to further the plot in the game.
- Spring Water: It's basically just water. Its primary function is to water Magic Beans and induce their growth, but it's also used in some puzzles in the game.
- Zora Egg: Merely used to further the plot in the game.
Quest Items' Locations & Functions:
- Land Title Deed: You can obtain this from the Deku Scrub in South Clock Town by giving it the Moon's Tear. This can be given to the Scrub in the Southern Swamp for the Swamp Title Deed and the ability to use its Flower.
