Alright, so you've just dropped into The Universim and you're wondering where to even begin? Don't sweat it, we've all been there! This guide is all about getting your little Nuggets set up right from the start, focusing on the absolute essentials like oxygen production (well, more like water and food, but you get the idea!) and keeping everything running smoothly. Think of it as laying the groundwork for your future god-like empire!

The Tutorial

First things first, the game's gonna offer you a quick tutorial. Seriously, do it! It'll cover the basics of moving your camera around and using some of the core controls. It's a painless way to get your bearings before things get hectic.

The Mother Planet & Your Epicenter

You'll land on your 'Mother Planet,' which is randomly generated each time, so it'll always feel fresh. It's got all the Earth-like goodies: water, trees, seasons, the works. Your first big task is placing your Epicenter. This is the heart of your new civilization, and once it's up, it'll pop out your first four Nuggets – two adults and two kids.

Pro-Tip: When you're picking a spot for the Epicenter, try to get it near a water source, some trees, and loose rocks. This cuts down on travel time for your Nuggets as they start gathering resources. Just left-click where you want it, and a confirmation message will pop up.

Construction: The First Steps

With your initial crew, the adults will start doing their thing. Your immediate priority is water. You'll want to build a Well right away. Click that hammer icon in the bottom left to open the Buildings menu, find the Well under the Epicenter category, and place it near a good water source. The game will show you numbers indicating water quality – aim for higher numbers!

While the Well is being built, take a look at the surrounding water bodies. You can use them for more Water Pumps or for Fisher Piers to get food. More water sources mean faster resource gathering!

Food, Glorious Food!

Once the Well is done, it's time to think about food. You've got two main options: fishing or farming. If you go the farming route, you might need another Water Pump to keep those crops happy. Different crops have different needs – some like specific temperatures or biomes, some grow faster but yield less, and others take longer but give you more food. For a start, pick a crop that doesn't need too much water.

Keeping Things Running: Maintenance

As your population grows, you'll need an Engineer's Hut. This is super important because it lets your Nuggets repair buildings. If buildings fall apart, you'll waste precious resources rebuilding them from scratch. Also, think about building a Hospital or a Cemetery. Injured Nuggets lose health if they're not treated, and dead Nuggets can spread illness if not buried. A plague can wipe out your whole civilization, so stay on top of it!

Extra Bits and Bobs

Once the basics are covered, you can consider building an Eatery to turn raw food into prepared meals, or a Forecast Tower to get a heads-up on weather and seasons. These aren't critical at the very start, but they help smooth things out.

Keep Building!

The core loop of The Universim is pretty simple: as your civilization grows, you just add more of the buildings you already have. Need more water? Build more Water Pumps. Not enough food?
