Defeat Count de Wett and Mutant Rayla, then breach the Salamandra Hideout for 3000 XP in The Witcher's Sweet Revenge quest.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Approach Count de Wett and his aides. He reveals he worked with Salamandra and caused Adda to become a Striga again.
  2. 2
When Geralt refuses to side with him, Count de Wett and his minions attack. Defeat them.
  3. 3
Loot Count de Wett's body for the book “Experiment Notes”. Read it to learn about the upcoming creatures.
  4. 4
Head east, then north to find a distinctive tree. East of this tree is a campfire with a corpse. Loot the corpse for Zerrikanian Mix, Alchemists’ Powder, two units of Diamond Dust, Soldier’s Hooch, Dried Fruit, Bottled Water, an Earth Stone, Flint, two bottles of Temerian Rye, a Torch, and 50 Orens.
  5. 5
Head south, then east, up a ramp. Kill any “Masked Warriors” encountered.
  6. 6
You will encounter Azar Javed and Mutant Rayla. Javed will taunt Geralt before sending Mutant Rayla to attack.
  7. 7
Defeat Mutant Rayla using the Fast Steel Style. Loot her body for two vials of White Raffard’s Decoction, Alchemists’ Powder, random food, and 42 Orens.
  8. 8
Continue north and defeat another Masked Warrior and an Armored Hound using the Strong Silver Style.
  9. 9
Continue uphill, defeating Salamanders until you reach a gate where opposition will stiffen with Masked Warriors, Armored Hounds, and Salamandra Mages. Quickly defeat the Mages with Igni, then destroy the other enemies in melee.
  10. 10
After defeating the opposition, your chosen allies will arrive in the courtyard of the Old Manor and be attacked by mutants. Defeat the Mutants, Mutant Assassins, and Greater Mutants using the Strong Steel Style on the former and the Fast Steel Style on the latter.
  11. 11
Chat with your ally. Ask about the “situation in Vizima” first for an update.
  12. 12
Loot barrels along the eastern side of the manor's front and a trunk on the western side. The trunk contains a Moon Rune and a piece of Yellow Meteorite.
  13. 13
If you wish, go down a natural ramp to the east to reach the waterfront. Near a boat on the southern shore, loot two more barrels. A Place of Power is nearby.
  14. 14
Talk to your companion again and discuss gaining access to the Salamandra Hideout.
  15. 15
Follow your companion, fend off a mutant assault, and proceed alone into the depths.
  16. 16
You will appear in different locations depending on your political alignment: Yaevinn (north-east dead-end), Order (south), or Neutral (north-west crypt).
  17. 17
Navigate the dungeon, defeating enemies like Armored Hounds, Greater Mutants, Mutants, and Mutant Assassins. The goal is to reach a room in the south-western corner of the map.
Tips
  • Read the “Experiment Notes” book immediately after looting it to prepare for upcoming enemies.
  • Harvest ingredients for potion-making from the nearby Drowners, Drowned Dead, Bloedzuigers, and Vodyanoi if needed.
  • Prepare 10 Blizzard potions, 10 White Raffard’s Decoctions, and at least one Wolverine potion at the nearby fireplace.
  • A Swallow Potion should be sufficient for the fights leading up to more potion-intensive encounters.
  • Use the Fast Steel Style against Mutant Rayla.
  • Use Igni against Salamandra Mages.
  • Use the Strong Steel Style on Greater Mutants and the Fast Steel Style on Mutant Assassins.
  • If you are interested in Meteorite Swords or Rune Swords, you may have gone astray earlier in the guide.
  • 3000 XP for learning who caused Adda to become a Striga (again).
  • 3000 XP for breaching the Salamandra Hideout in the Old Manor.
