It's more than just putting stuff on shelves; some items have little secrets or specific ways they need to be used. Let's break down what you'll be dealing with as you unpack!

General Tips for Interacting:

• Opening Boxes: It's simple! Just click on a box to open it, then click again on an item inside to pick it up. You'll then place it somewhere in the room. Once a box is empty and you've taken out all the items, one last click will make the box disappear.
• Accessibility Option: If you're not worried about perfect placement (and honestly, who is?), turn on the 'Allow items anywhere' accessibility option in the settings. This lets you just toss things on the floor if you want. It won't affect achievements, so embrace the chaos!
• Item Placement: When you pick up an item, it'll often try to auto-rotate to fit where you're pointing. If you need to rotate it manually, just press and hold !cn_B.
• Stacking & Hanging: Some items can be stacked, others can be hung on walls or on clothes hangers. Keep an eye out for these opportunities, especially if space is getting tight.
• Moving Between Rooms: If you're struggling to find space in one room, you can pick up an item and move to another room using !cn_LB or !cn_RB. Remember, most rooms scroll up and down too, so don't forget to check those areas!
• Clothes Hangers: These can take up a surprising amount of space later on. It's a good idea to hang them up on the racks in wardrobes to keep them tidy and out of the way.

Specific Item Interactions & Achievements:

While most items are just for placing, a few have special interactions that can unlock achievements:

• Rubik's Cube (1997 Level): You'll find this in one of the first boxes. Pick it up, and then repeatedly press !cn_B. Keep going until all sides of the cube are the same color. Stop pressing !cn_B once it's solved to unlock the 'Solve a puzzle' achievement.
• Polaroid Camera (1997 Level): Once you unpack this item, just place it down somewhere. Doing so will unlock the 'Make some memories' achievement. It's as simple as that!
• Wooden Mannequin (2004 Level): In the 2004 level, you'll come across a wooden artist's mannequin. Don't just place it down! While holding it, press !cn_B repeatedly until it does a 'dab' dance. This will unlock the 'Strike a pose' achievement.
• Toilets (Various Levels): There's a cumulative achievement for flushing toilets. You need to flush a total of seven toilets across different levels. Keep an eye out for them, especially in bathrooms, and give the cistern handle a click! This contributes to the 'Gotta flush 'em all' achievement.
