Unpacking is a zen puzzle game where you unpack boxes and arrange items in new living spaces. While the game is designed to be relaxing, some players may prefer to take their time and enjoy the process without any pressure. This guide will cover how to approach the game at your own pace, focusing on the joy of discovery and organization rather than speed.

General Hints & Tips:

• The primary goal is to empty all boxes. Use point-and-click controls to open boxes and place items.
• An accessibility option, "Allow items anywhere," lets you place items freely, even if it's not the 'correct' spot. Aesthetics are not important for progression.
• Items can be manually rotated using the B button.
• Some items can be stacked, placed on walls, or hung on clothes hangers.
• Use LB/RB to switch between rooms if space is limited.
• Rooms may scroll vertically for additional space.
• Clothes hangers can take up space; consider hanging them in wardrobes to keep them organized.

Story Walkthrough & Achievements:

The game progresses through levels marked as years. While most achievements are tied to story progression, some require specific actions. The game allows replaying levels, so no achievements are missable.

Accessibility Option:

From the main menu, go to Settings > Accessibility and enable "Allow items anywhere." This does not affect achievements but allows for more freedom in item placement.

Level 1997:

• Unpack the items from the boxes. Use the accessibility option to place items anywhere.
• Solve a puzzle: Interact with the Rubik's Cube. While holding it, repeatedly press B until the cube is solved (all sides the same color).
• Make some memories: Unpack the Polaroid camera and place it.
• Once all boxes are empty, click the star in the bottom-right corner to end the level and unlock the "Beginning" achievement.

Level 2004:

• This level has three rooms, switchable with LB/RB.
• Gotta flush 'em all: In the bathroom, flush one of the seven toilets. This is a cumulative achievement across multiple levels.
• Strike a pose: Find the wooden artist's mannequin. While holding it, press B repeatedly until it performs a dab.
