Boss: Metal Face

  • Level: 42
  • Detection: Sight

Metal Face has both Physical and Ether-based Arts. His Physical Arts are the most dangerous.

  • Dead Way: Ether-based Art, moderate damage in a line, inflicts Knockback.
  • Grand Shot: Ether-based Art, regular damage in a circle, inflicts Blowdown and Daze.
  • Killing Claw: Physical-based Art, massive damage to a single target, inflicts Knockback and Strength Down. This is his most dangerous Art.
  • Last Resort: Physical-based Art, two hits, major damage to a single target, inflicts Blowdown and Daze.
  • Murder Screw: Physical-based Art, major damage in a circle, inflicts Bleed.

Strategy:

  • Keep Monado Enchant active at all times to allow your allies to damage Metal Face.
  • Use Monado Buster for massive damage in between casts of Monado Enchant.
  • Keep the party spread out to avoid being hit by multiple Arts simultaneously, especially Dead Way.
  • Use Shulk's Light Heal or Sharla's abilities to maintain party HP.
  • The goal is to deplete Metal Face's HP to around 20% to end the battle and the Chapter.
Tips
  • The Monado can now damage Mechon after the shackles are released.
  • Monado Arts can now be leveled up to Level 10.
  • There is no specific Talent Art to watch out for during this fight.
