Master the 'Lost in a Dark Dream' Time Attack challenge in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. Learn strategies for controlling Melia and defeating the Laeklit Mammut.

Alright, so you've finished up the Future Connected epilogue and reloaded your main game save? Awesome! Now you can dive into some of the tougher Time Attack challenges, and 'Lost in a Dark Dream' is definitely one of them. It's a Level 3/4 difficulty challenge, and if you can beat it, you'll snag the Power Set – super useful stuff!

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Wave 1: This is where you'll be taking control of Melia. Don't let the fact that there's only one target and one wave fool you; this fight can get hectic fast. Your main target is the Lv 85 Laeklit Mammut, which is a Fogbeast. Like all Fogbeasts, it's going to call in and power up a bunch of other enemies that are hanging out in the arena.
  2. 2
Because of those reinforcements, you'll want to lean heavily on Melia's area-of-effect (AoE) Arts. These will help you deal with the adds efficiently. Also, make sure you're building up your Chain Attack meter. You'll want to unleash your full Chain Attack for powerful finishers like Final Cross (which needs High Tension for Fiora, but you're controlling Melia here, so focus on what she can do) and Burninate to inflict Blaze on groups of enemies.
  3. 3
The Laeklit Mammut itself isn't the biggest threat, but it does have a nasty move called Sumo Stomp. This Art will Topple everyone in range, which can be a real pain. Luckily, Melia has a counter for this: her Reflection Art. Use it to negate the Topple effect.
  4. 4
With Melia keeping herself safe and dealing with the adds, you can then focus on bringing down the Laeklit Mammut. Use her Arts to support the rest of your party and finish off the boss.
Tips
  • Focus on using Melia's AoE Arts to clear out the summoned enemies quickly.
  • Build up your Chain Attack for powerful finishers like Burninate to inflict Blaze.
  • Remember to use Melia's Reflection Art to counter the Laeklit Mammut's Sumo Stomp and avoid being Toppled.
  • Don't underestimate the adds; they can overwhelm you if you don't deal with them promptly.
