Mechonis Field Quests

Complete guide to Mechonis Field side quests in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. Includes Best Boots, Monster Quest, Challenge Quests 1 & 2 with rewards and enemy locations.

Mechonis Field offers a few side quests available from NPCs in the Secret Area, Machina Refuge. To reach Machina Refuge, slide down the ramp near the Great Battle Scar landmark onto the second platform from the top, then climb a wall into an enclosed room. These quests are on a time limit and will expire after completing the story quest at Meyneth Shrine.

Mechonis Field Side Quests

Best Boots

• Client: Bozatrox
• Rewards: 20500G, 18000 EXP, M100 Greaves, Quick Step IV
• Affinity: None

Available after completing To My Loved One…. Bozatrox needs 2 Reinforced Plungers and 2 Reinforced Jets from Mechon enemies on the Third Floor of Mechonis Field. Offensive/HONEYs drop Jets, and M84/GRUNTs drop Plungers. Return to Bozatrox with the items to complete the quest and receive the M100 Greaves.

Monster Quest

• Client: Garrisoned Troop
• Rewards: 35000G
• Affinity: None

Defeat 3 M66/TRICK Mechon Units in Mechonis Field. They can be found in locations such as 1F Main Power Switch on the First Floor and near the 3F Main Power Switch on the Third Floor. The quest completes automatically after defeating 3 units.

Challenge Quest 1

• Client: Garrisoned Troop
• Rewards: 65000G
• Affinity: None

Defeat the level 60 unique Mechon enemy, Revolutionary Bifrons, found on the Fourth Floor near the Upper Bulkhead Bridge landmark in Mechonis Field. Defeating it completes the quest.

Challenge Quest 2

• Rewards: 62000G
• Affinity: None

Defeat the level 58 unique Mechon enemy, Infernal Crocell, found on the Fourth Floor around Power Supply Area 2 near the Upper Bulkhead Bridge landmark in Mechonis Field. Defeating it completes the quest.
