Bionis' Shoulder

A detailed walkthrough for Bionis' Shoulder in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition's Future Connected. Includes quest guides, locations, and tips for progression.

The game begins with a flashback to Shulk and Melia's journey to Alcamoth. Upon landing, you gain control and are introduced to the changes in Future Connected: Chain Attacks are different, Shulk no longer has visions, and the Skill Tree is removed.

You'll unlock the Junks Landmark. Head to the Nopons to trigger a scene and a battle against two Lv 55 Leg Volffs and a Lv 57 Officer Volk. Your new Nopon companions are Kino (healer) and Nene (tank). Early on, Kino is recommended due to the absence of the Skill System making healing difficult.

After the battle, head north to Junks to find and register your first Quiet Moment on the deck. Continue north to Purifying Falls, then south and west across the bridge to Navvir Highland. Go south to the Navvir Crossroads Landmark and find the Quiet Moment A Love for Flowers between Melia and Nene. Continue west, then south to find the Unique Monster Lv 63 Phlegmatic Jamir with two Lv 60 Little Bunnits.

Continue south to unlock Companions' Cape and trigger a scene about Bionis' Shoulder. You'll also get a tutorial about Shops and Quests, noting that enemies no longer drop armor.

Questing around Companions' Cape

Speak to Carranelle for the Ether Exploitation Quest. Use the nearby Ether Deposit and return to Carranelle to complete it and receive an Ether Pick.

Talk to Laennar for the Laennar’s Worries, Plump Pickings, Praying Caterpile Control, and Supplant the Noble Brogs Quests. Change the time to night to speak to Tulleana for the Ether Font Quest and Haemlin for the Hunting Help Quest.

Before leaving, check the Shop for new armor. Head south to find an Ether Deposit, the Quiet Moment All Grown Up with Nene and Shulk, and unlock the Companions' Forum location.

Ether Font

Tulleana is at Companions' Cape. Exterminate 3 Wind Nebula (near Navvir Crossroads) and 3 Aqua Nebula (around Junks and Purifying Falls). Return to Tulleana to complete the quest.

Plump Pickings

This quest is automatically picked up when activating Laennar’s Worries. Collect 5 bundles of Plump Wildgrass (red shiny orbs) near Navvir Crossroads and Purifying Falls. The quest completes automatically upon collection.

Praying Caterpile Control

This quest is automatically picked up when activating Laennar’s Worries. Defeat 3 Praying Caterpiles near Navvir Crossroads, close to where you found Plump Wildgrass. The quest completes automatically upon defeating them.

Supplant the Noble Brogs

This quest is automatically picked up when activating Laennar’s Worries.
