After the intro cutscene, follow the corridor in Sewer Town - Southwest. Pick up the Rusty Longsword and defeat the first enemies.

Proceed upstairs to find Mud Ball x3 next to a corpse.

After defeating the next enemy, jump down and turn left to find a Void Beast and Pure Crystal x3. Defeat the Void Beast (attack from behind, dodge tail swipes) to receive Luminous Carbon x1.

Kill the enemy opposite the Void Beast's cell, grab Crystallized Remains x1, and proceed to learn about Weapon Skills.

Defeat the two enemies, pick up Mud Ball x2, and continue down the corridor to find and defeat a third enemy. Grab Crystallized Remains x1 from a nearby corpse.

In the next room, backstab an enemy as per the tutorial and grab Mini Bomb x3.

The next enemy throws rocks; rush and dodge its projectiles or use a Mini Bomb. Clear the room and grab Stone x5 and the Old Notepad.

Enter the next area and face the Sewer Cleaner. Dodge its attacks and move away after defeating it to avoid its self-destruct. It drops the Railgun spell.

Talk to the old man for exposition and proceed down the tunnel. At the end, find Pure Crystal x1.

Circle back to enter a new area and meet Asteria, the Branchweaver. She tasks you with repairing the Branch (fast travel, upgrade, etc.).

Return to Asteria to receive Life Dew x3.

Asteria rewards you with one of three weapons: Blader Longsword, Blader Swords, or Blader Greatsword. Choose based on your preferred playstyle.

Tips

Master the early combat loop of short attacks followed by dodging to conserve health.
The Void Beast is a tough early encounter; focus on dodging its tail swipe and attacking its rear.
Be prepared to dodge the Sewer Cleaner's attacks due to its speed and self-destruct.
Branches serve as fast travel points and are crucial for character and equipment progression.
