The Withered Forest is an optional area in AI Limit, accessible from the Sunken City - Flooded Street. This zone is rich with valuable goods, collectibles, and crystals, but be prepared for challenging enemies and hazardous poison swamps.

Twilight Hill - Withered Forest Guide

Forest Entrance

After exiting the train station, you'll reach a branch. After restoring it, speak with Kastina. Prepare for the Withered Forest, which is populated by Necros and Hunters.

  1. Head through the building and into the forest path. Defeat the Necro on the ledge above to obtain Magnetic Surge. Continue down the path, defeating another Necro.
  2. Head right at the next ledge to defeat a Necro. Collect the Luminous Diamond near the rock wall and an Antidote on the broken walkway. Return and head down the path, facing a new Necro type with a large arm. Defeat it to loot Luminous Carbon.
  3. Pass a dead hunter and enter the poisonous swamp. Monitor your poison build-up and keep an Antidote ready.
  4. In the swamp, collect the Mud Ball. Defeat the two swimmer Necros to the right and loot the Adaptive Fragment.
  5. You'll find more swampland. To the right is a suspended ladder to treetop walkways (inaccessible yet). To the left, restore a branch and find a vending machine. Take the left path and restore the branch.

Deadwoods

The vending machine offers:

  • Mud Ball - 250 Crystals
  • Antidote - 800 Crystals
  • Noise Tape - 1320 Crystals
  • Goggles - 2500 Crystals

Loot may be found off the main path; proceed with caution due to poison and enemies.

  1. From the branch, enter the alcove and follow the left path along a rock ridge.
  2. Optional: Drop down to defeat a Pierce-inducing Necro and collect Phosphorous Dart x 3. Return to the branch area via the poison swamp.
  3. Continue along the rocky ridge past the Necro encounter to an area with hunters. Knock down the ladder for safety.
  4. Optional: Climb the ladder. To the right, defeat an enemy on a broken bridge and loot a Noise Recorder. To the left, face a hulking hunter and another hunter dropping down, plus one throwing electrified bolts. Loot Mechanical Part and Noise Tape from the broken bridge planks.
  5. On the ground level, take the rock path left to find and defeat two Necros, then loot the spell Terra Inferno.
  6. Follow the path to a campfire with a brute. Defeat the brute and the hunter above, then loot Salted Mud Ball beyond the fire.
  7. Climb the ladder and grab Luminous Carbon to the left near the broken bridge. Return to the ladder and go the other way to find the Hunters' Trestle branch.
  8. Before proceeding, return to the area in step 3 where you fought the two Necros near the statue. Follow the right wall past where you picked up Terra Nova, then take the first right to find a climbable ladder.
  9. Climb the path and restore the Twilight Foothills branch.

Twilight Foothills

  1. Continue along the path and defeat the Blader to obtain the Corrupted Blader Swords. Beware of her Piercing build-up attacks.
  2. Head toward the ladder and turn left to loot a Stabilizer. Climb the next ladder, then another. At the top, activate a memory to obtain the Slayer Normal Seal. Enter the outer Arboretum, noting an inner section with a branch and item inaccessible until the Spirit Depths.
  3. Ascend the swirling ramp to find the Crystal Sprout at the top, which allows stat point respeccing. Return to the Hunter's Trestle branch to continue.

Hunters' Trestle

  1. Proceed down the curving bridge path. Where the railing ends on the left, you can drop down for items.
  2. Optional: Drop down and fight several hunters. Climb the ladder on the opposite wall, break boxes, and drop to a ledge with a chest containing the Raincoat set. Near the wooden gate, defeat two urchins and loot an Adaptive Fragment. In a cave with more urchins, defeat two AoE Pierce-inducing Necros and loot the Soil: Withered Forest and the Moon Dew Normal Seal. (Soil can be traded to Vikas in the Slums for Mud Ball x 10).
  3. Optional: On the poison swamp level, find an island in the middle of the swamp with a Pierce-inducing Necro. Loot the Chippe...
