Spirit Depths Walkthrough

When you enter the Spirit Depths through the rift, you'll quickly run into little Shirley. Be sure to exhaust your dialogue with her to keep up her questline. Then continue until you find the first branch of the area.

Dormant Array

  1. From this branch, head out to the ledge and pick up the Luminous Silica on the red translucent platform. Before dropping down to the red platforms below, be advised of a major hazard. Off in the distance are these rotating circular structures with a giant red eye. When the Eye circles around to face you, it'll wind up a spell attack of five lightning bolts that are quite devastating. You can shut these eyes off, but you're going to have to avoid them for the time being. Now, drop down the platforms. Ignore, the path right for now as you'll never make it with the eye hindering you. Head left, but use the rocky debris as cover to block the eyes from dealing damage.
  2. You will find a Clergy Mask and a church enemy along this path. Head in the open doorway and hang a left to kill another church enemy. Then, collect the Adaptive Fragment on the other side of this room. Then, once the timing is right, head out of this room and across the bridge to the branch. You can also speak with Stone here.

Watch Tower

WARNING: Spend whatever crystals you can because the next jaunt between branches is a dicey one and may lead to a death or two.

  1. The only other exit from here requires you to drop down onto another bridge with a two legged crawling church enemy with a tail. Grab the Portable Electrification x2 before doing so. This hostile will either attack you with a whirwind of slashes, perform a downward thrusting lightning strike, or fire wind gusts at you. It'll be all to easy to fall off the bridge and you'll also have to avoid an eye to your left. If the eye spots you, rush back toward the watch tower and hide behind the left side wall to break its line of sight.
  2. At the end of the bridge, use the alcove to your right to wait out the eye. Then rush the other enemy ahead and eliminate it. There's another alcove if you need to use it. Beyond that, you can pick up the Cleansing Therapy Normal Seal. Then, drop down to the next red translucent platforms. Once you begin dropping down to the lower platforms, you won't have to worry about the eye (for now).
  3. Once you reach the bottom, there are 3 church enemies. You can quickly run past the one on the left with a hammer and in the entry way up the stairs where you'll attract the attention of a two-headed Necro. You can then bring the two of them together to clash if you want to make things easy. Head back down and beat the enemy with the staff and the other guarding the Adaptive Fragment, then pick it up.
  4. There is a room near this that contains Soil: Spirit Depths. Return this to Delpha when you get a chance in order to retrieve Purified Soil. Of course, this will grant you another Life Dew charge when cultivated.
  5. After reaching the top of the stairs, you'll find two flying Necros and one hulking Necro with the large arm ready to punch a hole through your face. Eliminate these enemies and continue along the path.
  6. Next, you'll see a reaper and a cleansing knight duking it out. These are tough enemies (as they were once bosses in previous levels). It's recommended that you just let them clash and then finish off the winner. Once both enemies are gone, you'll receive Adaptive Fragment x 6. Then pick up the Shriek Core where they were dueling.
  7. You'll then see another set of red translucent platforms. Instead of dropping all the way down to the bottom, you're going to want to get some extra goods and find the console to shut off the eyes, right? On the platform that is the longest, treat it as a bridge back to the watch tower. You won't fall, and will be able to cross all the way.
  8. On the other side, pick up a Contemporary Resonance. Then, head up the elevator step off the moment you're able to (don't ride all the way up). Here, you can shut off the eyes for good at the console and pick up the Ethereal Tone Normal Seal.
  9. Next, jump back on the elevator and ride all the way up this time. At the top, you'll be able to loot a Levitating Core, and have the chance to take out another mystical butterfly. Be on the look out for a church enemy just further down the path. He's slow moving so you should be able to contend with the butterfly before dealing with him. Once you eliminate the butterfly, you'll receive Pure Crystal x 2 and Dew Essence. When you defeat the church enemy, you'll receive Adaptive Fragment, Tiny Resonance, and a Luminous Diamond.
  10. Now, head down the elevator to find yourself back at the Dormant Array branch. Don't teleport to the next branch but DO REST at this branch because we're going to use the Broken Branch shortly to teleport back here and get another big secret. Now, head down the red translucent platforms again. This time, you can head right since the eyes are shut down. You'll run into some church enemies. In particular, there's a beefy one equipped with a Pardoner scythe. He's not too difficult. In fact, if you stay close to him, he'll miss most of his slashes as they'll go right over your head. But be sure to dodge into him with each sweeping slash. He'll possibly drop Clergy Mask x 3. Then, pick up the Eucharist.
  11. Head into the room just after this. To the right you can loot a Precipitation Normal Seal. Then, in the box to the left, you can loot the spell Spears of Punishment.
  12. Now is the time to use the Broken Branch and head back to the Dormant Array. Go to the elevator you took to arrive h
