Explore General Kwai's unique 'Modifications' in Command & Conquer: Generals. Learn about his pros, cons, unit costs, and a rush strategy for victory.

This section details the 'Modifications' available for General Kwai in Command & Conquer: Generals. These modifications alter unit costs, availability, and starting conditions.

Pros:

  • Armor costs less to produce.
  • All Armor units start as Veterans.

Cons:

  • Inferno Cannons are unavailable.
  • Nuke Cannons are unavailable.
  • Infantry cost more to train.
  • Aircraft cost more to produce.
  • Carpet Bomber is available at 5 Stars, instead of 3 Stars.

General Kwai relies heavily on Armor units due to the lack of Artillery and increased costs for Infantry and Aircraft. His reduced Armor production cost allows for rapid vehicle deployment. The Battlemaster is his primary Tech Armor.

Kwai's main weakness is his over-reliance on Armor. If his War Factories are destroyed and cannot be replaced, his offensive capability is severely hampered. He is known to prioritize his War Factories over his Command Center and considers other types of armor inferior to his own.

Strategy for Victory (by John "pro_gamerz_93" Livingston):

  1. Immediately build 4 Construction Dozers at the Command Center and upgrade the Radar. Select Battlemaster Elite Training from the General's Power tab.
  2. Use the first Dozer to build a Nuclear Reactor for power, constructing more if needed.
  3. Use the second Dozer to build a Barracks near Supply Docks for soldier production to defend supply lines.
  4. Once the Nuclear Reactor is complete, use that Dozer to build a Supply Center. Expand your base as necessary.
  5. Use the third Dozer to build another Nuke Reactor.
  6. After the Supply Center is built, reinforce it with Bunkers and Gattling Cannons (a ratio of 1 Gattling Cannon for every 2 Bunkers is recommended). Simultaneously, use all Dozers to construct at least 4 War Factories. Assign one Dozer to guard primary defenses. Build additional Dozers to maintain production speed.
  7. When War Factories are finished, produce at least 10 Battlemasters, 10 Gattling Tanks, and 10 Dragon Tanks, with extras for safety. Continue base construction and research Chain Guns and Black Napalm upgrades.
  8. Separate your tanks into three teams: Team 1 (Battlemasters), Team 2 (Gattling Tanks), and Team 3 (Dragon Tanks). Move them near the enemy base, placing Teams 1 and 2 on standby.
  9. A) Use Team 3 to destroy all enemy defensive lines.
  10. B) Direct Teams 1 and 2 into the enemy base to destroy all visible structures.
  11. C) If multiple enemy bases exist, repeat steps A and B for each.

This strategy is highly effective for achieving the Tank Honor. Note that this rush strategy is more challenging against human opponents who may build extensive defenses early on.
