Learn how to tackle the 27 enemies in Disgaea: Hour of Darkness's Chapter 6-1. Master the narrow walkway strategy to defeat them one by one and minimize casualties.

Alright, so you've hit the 25th enemy encounter in Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, and it looks like a big one! You're facing a total of 27 enemies, a mix of almost every monster type you've seen so far. Don't let the numbers scare you, though. This battle is actually pretty straightforward if you play it smart.

The key here, as Laharl himself points out, is to take them on ONE AT A TIME. The starting island with the base panel is tiny and only connected to the main monster area by a super narrow walkway. This means most of the enemies can't even reach you, and only one can attack at a time across that bridge. You can totally handle that!

Strategy:

• Start with ranged attacks: Have Laharl hang back a bit and spam Wind Cutter. Seriously, this skill and Blade Rush are lifesavers here. Keep using them until Laharl's SP is low.
• Defensive front line: Send someone like Etna, who's strong, to stand on the walkway and act as a meat shield. This protects your mages and weaker characters.
• Mage support: Flonne and your Star Skull (or any other mage) are perfect for finishing off weakened enemies or just chipping away at their health from a safe distance.
• Prioritize threats: Once you start thinning the herd, focus on the Nightmares first because their Fire Dance attack is brutal. After them, take out the Imps and Gremlins for their poison attacks, and then the Killer Armors.
• Keep Flonne safe: Don't let Flonne get taken out! Her Power of Love ability is incredibly useful in the cramped space.
• Patience is key: Just hold your ground for a few turns, letting your ranged and defensive units do their work. Gradually reduce the enemy numbers until you can launch a full assault.

Stick to this plan, handle them one by one from a distance, and you'll get through this with hardly any casualties. Plus, you'll get some awesome bonuses from the battle. Once you're done, we'll move on to the next stage!
