Part 8

Detailed walkthrough for Part 8 of Donkey Kong Country Returns, covering Jungle Hijinxs, King of Cling, and more. Find all puzzle pieces and collectibles.

Walkthrough:

1. Jungle Hijinxs (1-1)
   • Puzzle Pieces: 9

   Enter the cave under the wooden platform on the left to find the first puzzle piece in the banana hoard.

   If you can reach DK's treehouse by climbing the wall above the wooden platform, a life balloon is inside.

   After defeating three 'awks', use the stone block to the right of the K to reach the platform it's on.

   Continue left, jumping on platforms. Blow on the dandelion on the leftmost platform for a puzzle piece. A banana coin is also here.

   As you move right, you'll encounter screaming pillars. Ground-pound the third set (a stack of two) to reveal a puzzle piece from the bottom pillar. If you see the tikis' blimp, you've gone too far.

   Further ahead, you'll see a heart and banana coin underground. Ground-pound the large yellow bulb above the banana coin to get a puzzle piece. To access these underground items, ground-pound the stone panel on the ground; jump back up through it to return to the surface.

   After some frogoons, you'll see a flower platform with stone idols. Bounce on the flower; the idols will spit bananas. Collect them all to make a puzzle piece appear in the middle. Diddy's jetpack makes this easier.

   A life balloon appears shortly after the flower platform; grab it quickly as it floats up.

   The 'O' is in a gap near the bottom of the screen after the life balloon. Use a well-placed roll-jump to get it.

   This is the checkpoint. You should have 5 puzzle pieces, the K, and the O. Grab the DK barrel if needed.
