Walkthrough

    Immediately upon entering Dark Empycchu, take a photograph of the interior for 081: World of Darkness.

    Head right and enter the first building. Search wall sacks for Mini Medal #95 and pots for a Seed of Magic.

    Exit and proceed to the first hut. Break pots inside for Rock Salt.

    Cross the bridge and search beside the rock waterfall wall for a pot containing Mini Medal #96.

    Locate the Item Shop. Before entering, search the exterior between the shop and a tree for a Golden Slime to photograph for 114: Dark Empychhu Golden Slime.

    Enter the Item Shop. Open the chest for a Special Antidote and break pots by the entrance for 180G.

    Go to the final building. Break pots beside it for Cowpat.

    Enter this building and break pots to the back right for Mini Medal #97. Break a pot on the opposite end for Cold Cheese.

    Return to the Mayor's House. Break pots outside the door on the left for Premium Mould.

    Inside the Mayor's House, turn left and break pots for a Dragon Scale. Search the drawer for Mini Medal #98.

    Enter the Inn portion on the right side of the Mayor's House. Break the pot behind the Innkeeper for Fresh Milk.

    Speak to the Mayor. He will ask you to investigate Empyrea's Roost, located at the Archway in the center of the plateau.

    Warning: Heal and Save your game before leaving Dark Empycchu.

    Exit town and head west to Empyrea's Roost.

Attacks:

  • Talon Grab: 100-200 damage
  • Zap: 50-65 damage all party members
  • Midheal: 70-80 heal
  • Flash: Chance to Dazzle all party members
  • Kafuddle: Chance to Confuse all party members

Strategy:

  • Equip gear that protects against Dazzle and Confuse.
  • Keep your party healed constantly, as Empyrea can deal significant damage.
  • Hero: Psyche Up once, then Attack. Consider using Healing if needed.
  • Yangus: Psyche Up once, then Attack.
  • Angelo: Focus on Healing. If free, cast Oomph on Hero/Yangus or Kabuff.
  • Jessica: Cast Oomph on Yangus and Hero. Consider Acceleratle. Attack if no other actions are available.
  • Be aware that Disruptive Wave can interfere with buffing strategies.

After the battle: Empyrea will speak with you, explaining she was testing you and asking you to find her stolen baby's egg. Heal and Save again before proceeding.
