Red's Place & Pickham (Revisit)

Return to Red's Place to get Medea back, then head to Pickham to photograph Brains for Cameron's Codex and advance the plot in Dragon Quest VIII.

Alright, with the Venus' Tear finally in your possession, it's time to head back to Red's Place. Speak with Red there; she should give Medea back to you so you can continue your journey.

Now, make your way back to Pickham. Once you're in town, head towards the east side. Look for some stairs that will take you up onto the rooftops. Follow these rooftops all the way until you find another set of stairs leading down into a building. Go inside this room, and you'll find Brains. Your task here is to take a photo of him for the Cameron's Codex entry 123: Savant of the Slums. After you've snapped the picture, chat with Brains – he'll give you the information you need to progress the plot.

It seems your next destination is to the west of Port Prospect.

Note: You might notice that the Dodgey Dave's Side Quest becomes available around this time. Dodgey Dave will ask you to bring him a crafted item in exchange for a reward. If you're interested in tackling this side quest, you'll need to refer to its specific section in the guide.
