Conquer the Masterpiece mission in Dungeon Keeper 2! Learn how to attract Dark Angels, build a massive Temple, and achieve 25,000 points with this expert guide.

Alright Keeper, welcome to the 'Masterpiece' mission, also known as Sanddar. This one's a bit different because you start with pretty much everything unlocked and a decent chunk of gold. Your main goal here is to rack up 25,000 points, but you've got two key sub-objectives to help you get there: build a Temple that's at least 25 tiles big, and attract two Dark Angels to your dungeon.

Before you even think about breaking those three portals, I highly recommend you get your economy in order. Use your Imps to dig south until you hit that big gem seam. Once you've got a hefty treasury, *then* start building out your rooms. The sooner you can attract the best creatures, the better.

Now, attracting those Dark Angels? That's the real challenge here. They're notoriously picky, even with a fancy Temple. But here's a pro-tip: to guarantee at least one Dark Angel right off the bat, you need to build the specific room that attracts the Elite Dark Angel, Zachariah. Once that room is up, he should show up as soon as you open the first portal.

For the second Dark Angel, it's a bit more luck of the draw. Even with a decent-sized Temple, they might still be hesitant. Some players find that building a second, smaller 5x5 Temple can really help nudge them along. If you've attracted every other creature you can and still no second angel, you might have to make a tough call. The quickest way to make space is to sacrifice some of your lesser creatures in the Temple. Keep doing this, and hopefully, the second Dark Angel will arrive to fill the void.

Beyond that, just enjoy the sandbox! You've got plenty of cash and space to build whatever you want. Try to get all your creatures up to level 10 by intentionally triggering Hero invasions – it's a great way to level them up quickly. Once everything's humming along, why not possess a creature and just take a leisurely stroll through your creation? After mastering this level, you'll be way better prepared for whatever the rest of the campaign throws at you!
