Enshrouded: Find All Ancient Vault Locations & Craftspeople

In Enshrouded, there are five Ancient Vault Locations to discover, each housing a crucial craftsperson: the Blacksmith, Alchemist, Hunter, Farmer, and Carpenter. While these are typically unlocked through the main questline, you can find them earlier. Be aware that some vaults are protected by higher-level enemies or require navigating the Shroud.

Ancient Vault - Blacksmith Location and Walkthrough

To find the Blacksmith, complete the main story and visit the Ancient Tower in the Springlands. You will be directed to the Ancient Vault south of the Tower. You can reach it by crossing the broken bridge north of your initial base location.

The Blacksmith's Vault is a small room that provides a tutorial on how craftspeople function in Enshrouded. The area is guarded by level 1 Scavengers. Inside, look for a secret door with a button to the right, which hides a silver chest. The Blacksmith's pod is on the left. Use the Summoning Staff at your base to place the Blacksmith.

Ancient Vault - Alchemist Location and Walkthrough

The Alchemist can be found by traveling west from your base and following the mountain paths. You'll encounter the Alchemist Vault in the western Springlands, or by gliding directly west from the Springlands Ancient Vault.

This Vault is more heavily defended by Scavengers, including Crossbow and Mortar units, with enemies around level 3. Lootable chests with resources are available around the external towers and guard posts. Inside the Vault, look for a false wall with buttons leading to silver chests. Navigate the corridors, defeat the Scavenger guards near the main stairs, and proceed upwards. Continue following the path, defeat more guards in the room marked 'Alchemist Location', and rescue the Alchemist from her pod. Ascend the stairs, open the door, and use the glide point to return outside. Bring the Alchemist back to your base.

Ancient Vault - Hunter Location and Walkthrough

The Hunter can be rescued from her Vault located directly east of the Grasslands Tower (Springlands Spire). This Vault is guarded by level 3 Vukah enemies.

Inside the Vault, you'll face electric traps and switches required to progress and access an optional reward. After navigating the traps, head up the stairs to find the switches:

On a pillar directly to the right of the stairs.
Go right from the stairs, turn left through a metal door; the switch is on the right wall.
At the top of the stairs, behind you. This requires grappling over or using a long-range attack (Staff spell or Charged Up Arrow).

Once all three switches are activated, proceed left from the main stairs to collect loot. To find the Hunter, go to the other side of the stairs and cross a lava jumping puzzle, using grapple points if needed. Ascend the stairs to find the Hunter in her Pod. You can explore the rest of the Ancient Vault - Hunter for Tier 1 and Tier 2 resources from smashed vases.
