How to Lift the Purple Seals

After beating the main story in FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, you can speak with Trip at your base camp to unlock post-game activities. One of these involves breaking purple seals found in various dungeons. To break these seals, you need an item called Dark Fire, which drops from any shadow enemy. Each seal requires a specific number of Dark Fires.

Where to Farm Dark Fire:

Fort Gardhart: This large castle in West Greatgut Plains is filled with shadow enemies. However, the drop rate for Dark Fires here can be low. The area levels up with the Area Rank for West Greatgut Plains, allowing you to adjust difficulty.

Monster Houses: These rare rooms within Treasure Groves are the best spots for farming Dark Fires and Mysterious Slates. All enemies in a Monster House are shadow monsters, and the drop rates are significantly higher than elsewhere. To maximize farming, defeat all but one enemy, then use your Weird Pad to quit the Treasure Grove. Re-entering the same grove will reset the Monster House, allowing you to repeat the process.

In total, you will need 215 Dark Fires to open all seals. Some seals are more rewarding than others. The seal in Warren Willow Hollow is highly recommended for its Luminous Darkwood Tree and Luminous Magic Ore Deposit, crucial for endgame crafting. The Spirit Road seal offers a respawning Wicked Mandrake boss veggie, useful for recipes. The Shadow Carrotella boss in The Depths and the Rare Fish Shadow in Yohoho Cavern are also valuable for their unique drops.
