Discover every Life in FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time! Learn about Combat, Gathering, and Crafting roles, their masters, and how to unlock them all.

Welcome to Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time! This game is all about switching between 14 different jobs, called Lives, to explore a mysterious island and uncover its secrets. You'll be fighting monsters, mining gems, crafting armor, and so much more!

The Lives are split into three main categories: combat, gathering, and crafting. You'll start with the 'Brand New Life' and get to pick your very first specialized Life pretty early on. Each Life has its own unique equipment, skills, and quests.

This guide will cover starter tips for all the Lives, where to find rare materials, locations for all the Leafes in Ginormosia, walkthroughs for the various Shrines, and where to find all the Strangelings.

All Lives in Fantasy Life i

Here's a breakdown of all the Lives you can experience:

Combat Lives

  • Paladin: Wields a longsword. They're described as a shield for the innocent and a sword for the weak. The Paladin Life master is Cuna.
  • Mercenary: Uses a greatsword. Mercenaries fight for their own gain and glory, not for kings or countries. The Mercenary Life master is Marcen.
  • Hunter: Uses a bow for ranged attacks. They're described as having a wild soul, seeking prey in forests and wastelands. The Hunter Life master is Arche.
  • Magician: Wields a staff for powerful ranged magic attacks. The Magician Life master is Oz.

Gathering Lives

  • Miner: Uses a pickaxe to find what lies beneath the ground, be it power or riches. Miners collect items that can be used by crafting Lives like the Blacksmith. The Miner Life master is Meralda.
  • Woodcutter: Uses an axe to fell trees. Woodcutters are closely tied to Carpenters, who use the gathered wood for tools, weapons, and furniture. The Woodcutter Life master is Leela.
  • Angler: Uses a fishing rod to catch fish. The fish caught by Anglers are used by Cooks in their recipes. The Angler Life master is Gramps.

Crafting Lives

  • Cook: Uses a frying pan to create delicious dishes. The Cook Life master is Cocott.
  • Blacksmith: Uses a hammer to craft essential equipment like swords for Mercenaries or hoes for Farmers. The Blacksmith Life master is Hammerhead.
  • Carpenter: Uses a saw to build anything from chairs and tables to homes and castles. The Carpenter Life master is Daiku.
  • Tailor: Uses a needle to create fashionable outfits that can also be used as armor. The Tailor Life master is Sue.
  • Alchemist: Uses a flask to turn seemingly useless weeds into valuable items. The Alchemist Life master is Chemmel.

Unlockable Lives

  • Artist: An unlockable crafting Life that uses a brush to bring color to the world through paintings, sculptures, and interior design.
  • Farmer: An unlockable gathering Life that uses a hoe to cultivate crops like carrots, onions, and potatoes. This Life isn't available as your first choice. The Farmer Life master is Inaji.

How to Unlock Lives

You can unlock new Lives by visiting the Guild Hall and speaking with Auntie Anne. You get to choose your first Life for free, and you can complete the challenges for any Life in any order you like. It's all about personal preference!

The only exceptions are the Farmer and Artist Lives. These two are unlocked by progressing through the main story and meeting specific requirements.
