Hey there! So you're interested in becoming a Farmer in FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time? Awesome choice! It's a super chill way to make some Dosh and really get into the rhythm of the island. Let's get you set up so you can start planting those crops!

How to unlock Farmer:

First things first, you'll need to make some progress in the main story. Keep playing until you complete the mission called 'The Polturnip and the Leafe'. After that, you just need to chat with Auntie Anne to grab your Farmer's license. This usually happens around the fourth chapter of the game. During that mission, you'll deal with a giant Polturnip blocking your path. Don't worry about spoilers, but you'll meet someone who's key to the Farmer Life and they'll show you the ropes of farming before you clear the way. After that, make your way to the Elder Tree. At some point during this whole quest, Inaji will give you a Spirit How, and that's your cue – you can officially select the Farmer Life!

How to Farm:

Once you've got the Farmer Life unlocked (whether you finished the intro mission or skipped it), you can start setting up farms at your base camp. Head over to the Guild building and buy some farms from Cooke for 500 Dosh. Seeds? Marco's your guy for those. Once you've got your farms set up at your base, just plant your seeds, wait for them to grow big and strong, and then harvest away!

Sometimes, you'll run into what we call 'boss veggies.' These guys have a special 'dig-dig meter' that shows up in red. Your job is to position yourself on that meter until it turns blue, and *then* you can start attacking with your hoe. Once you've depleted the veggie's health bar, you can harvest it. You actually get a chance to practice this during the Farmer Life introductory quest, so don't sweat it if you don't nail it on your first try! Selling these boss veggies to the nearby vendor is a great way to earn some extra Dosh, too.

Farmer Life Challenges:

As a Farmer, you'll be doing things like watering crops and harvesting a variety of veggies – onions, potatoes, radishes, carrots, pale onions, and more. As you rank up, the challenges get a bit trickier. You'll eventually need to aim for an 'Excellent' harvest. To pull off an 'Excellent' harvest, make sure that the very last time you dig up a crop, you choose the 'dig hard' option. This is the key to getting that top-tier harvest!

Best Farmer Skills:

When you're picking skills, focus on ones that help you gain XP faster. Also, keep an eye out for any skill points that are flashing – these are usually new skills you can learn, rather than just upgrades to existing ones. A really useful early skill is 'Plow'. It lets you swing your hoe with more force, which is great for dealing extra damage to those boss veggies or for harvesting crops more quickly.
