Walkthrough
- 1Open the battle by quickly casting Mighty Guard or Protect on your party. Shinra has maxed stats (255) and begins with Auto-Regen and Auto-Spellspring, meaning he heals HP over time and has zero MP costs for his abilities.
- 2Shinra's attacks include Clione (ten physical random-target hits), Attack, Ultima or Final Impact (if under 25% HP), Full Break or Fireworks (if not over 50% HP), and Haste or Final Impact. He loops these attacks.
- 3Clione, Final Impact, and Fireworks are particularly dangerous. Clione is multi-hit but can be blocked by Protect. Final Impact is unblockable and deals 14 random hits, each removing 1/8 of a target's max HP/MP. Fireworks pierces Defense and deals high damage.
- 4Your offense needs to pierce Defense. The Dark Knight's Darkness ability is recommended as it is strong, ignores Defense, and is based on a high Strength stat. Equip the Ragnarok accessory to mitigate Darkness's HP penalty.
- 5Continuously use Darkness for offense and Miracle Drinks (via the Alchemist's Mix skill) to nullify all incoming damage.
Tips
- Shinra's Strength, Magic, Defense, Magic Defense, and Luck are all maxed at 255, making non-piercing damage minimal and attacks extremely painful.
- If Shinra is not Hasted, he will use Haste. Otherwise, he will use Final Impact.
- If Shinra is over 50% HP, he will use Full Break (all Stat Breaks). If not, he will use Fireworks.
- If Shinra is above 25% HP, he will use Ultima. If not, he will use Final Impact.
- The Alchemist's Miracle Drink can nullify all damage for an extended period.
- Darkness ability from the Dark Knight Dressphere ignores Defense.
