Fire Emblem: Awakening - Understand Tiki's Role

Hey there! Let's talk about Tiki in Fire Emblem: Awakening. She's a really interesting character, a Dragonkin who's lived for ages but still has a bit of a childish side. You might know her from older games – she was actually friends with Marth, the Hero-King! Just a heads-up, she's one of those characters who really likes her sleep, so don't expect her to be the first one up and at 'em.

When Tiki joins your team, she comes a bit later in the game. If you're the type who loves to grind out skirmishes and really power up your units, she can be a solid addition. However, by the time she shows up, you'll probably already have a core group of strong fighters. It really just depends on your playstyle and how much you want to invest in her.

She starts off with the Dragonstone+, which is a pretty sweet deal because it seriously boosts her stats while she's using it. Most of the time, her HP and Luck will skyrocket when she levels up, and her other stats tend to follow along nicely. Even though her role in the main story can be a bit on-and-off, remember that she can still die permanently, just like any other unit, and won't be around for the epilogue.

I personally tried reclassing her into a Wyvern Rider after she maxed out her Manakete class. She did okay, but honestly, she wasn't as strong as the flying units I already had established. It really boils down to what you prefer and how much patience you have for grinding.

Later on, when I upgraded her to a Wyvern Lord, she actually performed really well! Again, it all comes down to how much you grind and whether you plan to use her extensively in the late game. She's quite popular, especially in Japan, and you can find tons of fan art of her online. Personality-wise, despite looking more mature now, she can still be a little childish. Her support conversations with the female Avatar are particularly amusing!
